Your Questions, Answered

  • We provide strategic finance leadership for organizations that want decision-grade visibility: forecasting, cash discipline, margin clarity, KPI operating rhythm, and executive-ready reporting that drives action—not just month-end commentary.

  • We do not provide bookkeeping, transaction processing, AP/AR management, payroll processing, tax preparation/filing, or “finance department” coverage. If you need those functions, we will refer you to trusted partners and then plug in once the foundation is solid.

  • Founder-led businesses (often in the $2M–$10M range) and mission-driven organizations that already have bookkeeping in place but lack strategic finance leadership—especially when growth decisions, hiring, cash pressure, or complexity are increasing.

  • We are vendor-neutral, strategy-only. That means you get a CFO-level thinking partner focused on decisions, tradeoffs, and forward-looking clarity—without incentives to sell you more back-office services.

  • When “the numbers” exist, but leadership still can’t answer (quickly and confidently):

    • what drives margin

    • what will cash look like in 30/60/90 days

    • what happens if revenue softens or costs jump

    • whether the next hire/investment is affordable

If you’re making high-stakes decisions with partial visibility, you’re ready.

  • Depending on engagement level, deliverables commonly include:

    • 13-week cash visibility and stress testing

    • rolling forecast (with scenarios)

    • KPI dashboard tied to operating drivers

    • margin/pricing and labor efficiency analysis

    • working capital and liquidity risk scan

    • executive summary and board-ready reporting pack when needed

  • A fixed-fee, high-impact assessment designed to tell the truth about your financial reality: where cash is created or trapped, what’s constraining performance, what risks sit outside the P&L, and what must change in the next 90 days. You leave with priorities and a roadmap—no long-term commitment required.

  • A structured onboarding that typically includes:

    • aligning on goals, constraints, and decision calendar

    • confirming reporting integrity (close timing, chart of accounts usefulness, segmentation)

    • building or refining cash visibility and a baseline forecast

    • establishing KPIs and a monthly operating cadence

    • delivering first set of decision-ready insights and next actions

  • Three things:

    1. clean, consistently closed books (or a plan to get there fast)

    2. access to the right systems and data (accounting, payroll summary, CRM or sales data if relevant)

    3. engagement from leadership: decisions require context, not just numbers

  • We pause strategic work and route you to a bookkeeping/accounting partner to stabilize the basics. Once closes are reliable, we step in to build the forward-looking layer. This boundary is intentional: strategy depends on signal quality.

  • Yes. We collaborate closely and stay in our lane. Your bookkeeper keeps the ledger clean; your CPA handles tax; we translate financials into decisions, tradeoffs, and operating strategy.

  • We operate best with a monthly operating rhythm (forecast + KPI review + decision agenda). As well as biweekly sessions to review sales, pipeline, and any operational updates.

  • Clear, defensible analysis; consistent definitions; variance explanation tied to drivers; forward-looking risk and scenario framing; and a concise executive narrative that supports decisions.

  • We don’t promise vague “insight.” We commit to tangible artifacts and decision outcomes—e.g., improved cash control, stronger margin discipline, faster decisions, fewer surprises, and clearer go/no-go thresholds for hiring and investments.

  • Yes, when it fits the engagement tier: lender/investor readiness, board packs, narrative + metrics, forecast support, and Q&A prep. We do not act as a broker; we build the financial story and readiness.

  • We are not a ticket desk. We operate as an executive partner: we build the cadence, the models, the dashboards, and the decision framework—then use them to guide leadership consistently.

  • We work best where service delivery, labor, pricing, utilization/capacity, and cash timing drive outcomes—common in services businesses and mission-driven organizations. Fit matters more than industry labels.

  • We treat client financials, operating metrics, and strategic plans as confidential by default. We can execute NDAs as needed.
